It’s been around for a couple weeks now – or at least that’s about when I first noticed my new thumb wrinkle. It runs down the center of my right thumb from the nail to about 1/2 way to the first joint. What a strange place for a wrinkle!! My mom has almost the same exact body (well, technically I guess mine is like hers) so I sent her this picture to find out if she had a bizarre thumb wrinkle, too… much to my surprise, she does not! So what does this wrinkle mean? And how did it get there? Does it mean I have old thumbs?
After much thought, I’ve decided I’m at peace with the new wrinkle. It’s funky and unique. I’ll think of it as my personal racing stripe. 🙂
It’s from holding your phone.
Sideways with the keyboard open, that is.
I do hold my phone a lot, particularly for texting, but doing so doesn’t squish my thumb side-to-side so that doesn’t explain the placement of the wrinkle.
It is said that u can tell a persons age by their hands…. Lol! I have no wrinkles on my face but my hands have new wrinkles everyday… Lol! 🙂
