Jacob and I spent a week at Ft. Mountain State Park in Georgia, where we witnessed the beauty of the leaves changing. We packed our little Nissan Murano FULL, including a tent, a hammock, 2 camping chairs, 2 electric bikes, 2 cots, 2 sleeping bags, and enough food for a week! We left very early in the morning to arrive in time to set up the tent before sunset.

We had the perfect campsite, site #39! Right on the lake, with our own private walkway down to the trail that runs along the lake.

This was the view from the base of the steps going from our campsite to the lake. 😍
The weather was cold, but we enjoyed getting outdoors and experiencing the changing of the leaves in-person. Every day the colors were brighter and brighter, it was really gorgeous.
After a few days at the campsite, the weather turned cold and rainy. So we rented a cabin for our last couple of nights in the park! It was the nicest state park cabin we’d ever seen. Very modern and clean, with a huge kitchen, a big stone fireplace, and a back porch with gorgeous mountain views!
