Watermelon 5k

WE DID IT! Last time I ran a 5k I vomited 30 yards before the finish line (see Color Me Rad, May 25th). I wasn’t exactly prepared for this one but I gave it a shot anyway. No problems at Continue reading Watermelon 5k

Color Me Rad

May 25th in Tampa, FL This is a fun un-timed 5k where color was thrown at the runners in the form of dyed cornstarch and some kind of colorful liquid. It was very high-energy with loud music and DJs getting Continue reading Color Me Rad

First run in a year and a half

I stopped to snap this photo. I know it’s not fast, but this is quite possibly my best time ever!! I’m normally a 14-minute miler. I did feel like death afterwards though, and probably pushed myself too hard. Next time Continue reading First run in a year and a half

Wekiva River Kayaking

Rainbow Springs Camping Trip, March 2013

Little Big Econ State Forest

These sunglasses were on this random tree in the forest. We first saw them from the side and thought it was a huge pink spider, haha!

Jacob’s First Tunnel Ride

Today Jacob and I went on an 11-mile bike ride around Lake Mary. We stopped at the YMCA for a swim (I packed towels and dry clothes so we didn’t have to ride in wet swim suits), then we went Continue reading Jacob’s First Tunnel Ride

St. John’s River trip

Today I headed out to Blue Springs State Park for some much-needed time on the St. Johns River. I was going to bring my own kayak but decided to just rent one instead and save the hassle of loading and Continue reading St. John’s River trip

Logan Rides!

Friday afternoon we went to Olde Towne Cyclery and Logan got his birthday present – an awesome mountain bike. He wasn’t able to bring it home yet because we had to be somewhere for dinner in 20 minutes, however, we Continue reading Logan Rides!
