This morning I woke up early for a run before work but I’m not a morning person so I wasn’t sure how well this would go. Fifteen minutes before my run I ate 1/3 of a PowerBar® to get a dose of protein and drank about 1/4 cup of water. The run went very well, 3.1 miles and average pace per mile 12:05 – this is a minute and 12 seconds faster than the Watermelon 5k I ran five days ago! 🙂
I tried to time it so I would see the sunrise during my 3rd mile, and I was pretty much spot-on with the timing. Here’s a photo from the finish line (community pool), along with my run stats.
