I learned a lot about Hangouts on Air today at work! The coolest part is that I can create a recipe in IFTTT to publish a link to my YouTube live feed of the HoA to facebook, twitter, our company blog, etc. How cool is THAT! I’m testing IFTTT with this post to see if it will publish to fb and twitter like I told it to. I turned off my normal “add to facebook” wordpress app and didn’t indicate a photo to use for a thumbnail, nor did I indicate a feature image. The recipe is based no tags #fb and #tweet. It should include a custom title and a link to the page with the first photo as the thumbnail. Let’s see how this goes!
I couldn’t decide which screenshot was more flattering, so decided to include both.

Update: I couldn’t get IFTTT to publish a thumbnail so I reverted back to the WordPress app I normally use for publishing posts to facebook. It’s a nice app, but it uses the WordPress logo for the thumbnail when I publish posts from my phone. I hate that, but it’s better than only posting an ugly URL. Hence, reverting.
