We celebrated Christmas on the 21st this year due to our travel schedules – I flew in from Tulsa the afternoon of the 20th and Logan flew out to Minneapolis the morning of the 21st.
We started the day at 7am (early for a Saturday) with tea and coffee.
I found a great YouTube video of a crackling fireplace and classic Christmas songs, so I flung it from my phone to my TV using Chromecast. I love that gadget.
Logan received a really neat hand-painted card from his grandmother “BB”.
His “big” gift this year was a compound bow. He was absolutely thrilled and said it was the last thing he imagined me getting for him! Little does he know I’d love to have one for myself and saw a pink one just like his that I wanted to buy, but of course didn’t.
He shot a few arrows; most of them hit the target but after just a few shots we had to head out for his trip to MN. 🙁
In the future we’ll set the target up in the long stretch of open land in front of our neighborhood or in the woods behind the retention pond, we just didn’t have time to walk out there this morning.
It was a very nice morning and I’m glad we were able to celebrate before his departure. I miss him already and can hardly wait for his return.
Christmas Eve my mom and her husband are coming from New Mexico to spend Christmas at my house, so Jacob and I are very much looking forward to that. 🙂
